  * Removed misc.tmpl. Now to theme ikiwiki, you only need to customise
    a single template, page.tmpl.
  * If you have a locally customised page.tmpl, it needs to be updated
    to set <base> when BASEURL or FORCEBASEURL is set.
  * comments: Comments pending moderation are now stored in the srcdir
    alongside accepted comments, but with a `._comment_pending` extension.
    This allows easier byhand moderation, as the "_pending" need
    only be stripped off and the comment be committed to version control.
  * The `comment_pending()` pagespec can be used to match such unmoderated
    comments, which makes it easy to add a feed of them, or a counter
    indicating how many there are.
  * Belatedly added a `comment()` pagespec.
  * Gave comment and page editing forms some CSS and accessability love.
  * Renamed postscan hook to indexhtml, to reflect its changed position,
    and typical use.
  * inline: Call indexhtml when inlining internal pages, so their
    text can be indexed for searching.
  * Delete hooks are passed deleted internal pages. 
  * openid: Incorporated a fancy openid-selector signin form.

  * Add parameter to displaytime to specify that it is a pubdate,
    and in html5 mode, use time tag.

  * In html5 mode, use all the nice new semantic tags. Care was taken
    to not change the id/class named used in the CSS, so only CSS
    that refers to tag types needed to be changed.
  * Add ACTIONS variable to page.tmpl, which allows plugins to add arbitrary
    links to the action bar without modifying the template further.
    (COMMENTSLINK and DISCUSSIONLINK could be folded into this, but
    are kept separate for now to avoid breaking modified templates.)

    to a decode_cgi_utf8, which is called on the cgi query object, before the
    form is set up, and decodes *all* cgi parameters.

  * In the cgi edit path, reload the index file before rendering. A bug
    showed up where a web edit that added a page caused a near-concurrent
    web edit to fail in will_render. While it would be hard to reproduce this,
    my analysis is that the failing cgi started first, loaded the index file
    (prior to locking) then the other cgi created the new page and rendered
    it, and then the failing cgi choked on the new file when _it_ tried to
    render it. Ensuring that the index file is loaded after taking the lock
    will avoid this bug.
  * Fix strange stderr-hiding code in the git module, allow error messages
    to be passed on to stderr. Also fixes a potential bug, since git error
    meesages were treated as if they came from git stdout.
  * Add a "createlink" class attribute to the span for wikilinks pointing
    to not-yet-existing pages. I don't have a useful style defined for that
    though.
  * Rewritten rst plugin by madduck is a python program that communicates with
    ikiwiki via XML RPC. This should be much faster than the old plugin that

ikiwiki (1.18) unstable; urgency=low

  * The last release accidentially installed ikiwiki as ikiwiki.pl, now fixed.
  * Add --version.
  * Man page format fixups.
  * If the meta plugin overides the page title, set a title_overridden
    variable in the template to true. This allows doing things with the
    templates conditional on the title being overriden.
  * Add a %pagecase which maps lower-case page names to the actual case
    used in the filename. Use this in bestlinks calculation instead of
    forcing the link to lowercase.
  * Also use %pagecase in various other places that want to check if a page
    with a given name exists.

    sanitise them, like any other page type.
  * Rebuilding wrappers is necessary on upgrade to this version.
  * Make ikiwiki --setup --refresh rebuild wrappers, so wrapper rebuild
    will be automatically done on all upgrades.
  * Don't send pings if the wiki is being rebuilt.
  * Work around very innefficient behavior in File::Spec::abs2rel. Result
    is a savings of 2 pointless fork/execs per link calculation, which
    results in ~25% speedup of ikiwiki building its own doc wiki, and
    about 35% speedup displaying RecentChanges!
  * Make RecentChanges use a table and some CSS, should be much more readable.
    No code changes involved.
  * Encode & in diffurl in examples, to conform to pedantic rules.
  * Speed up RecentChanges by another 40% or so with some memoization.
  * Memoize abs2rel, which is still kinda slow, for another 30% speedup
    in time to build the doc wiki.

    the text in the input box is re-encoded back to utf-8.
  * -CSD does not affect modules, so readfile() was not using the utf-8 input
    layer, which led to lots of problems; make it force read files as utf-8.

  * Note that as a consequence, this version of ikiwiki will actually try to
    parse utf8 in source files for the first time, which may expose broken
    utf8 in wiki sources that was hidden before. Most common will be
    perl warnings like "utf8 "\xE9" does not map to Unicode"

  * Remove the -CSD from ikiwiki's hashbang since it's useless to have it

ikiwiki (1.4) unstable; urgency=low

  * Tell HTML::Scrubber to treat "/" as a valid attribute which is its
    very strange way of enabling proper XHTML <br /> type tags. Output html
    should be always valid again now.
  * The page name and parent links has switched from using a <h1> to a styled
    <span>, so pages can use <h1> internally instead of needing to use <h2>.
  * Updated all of ikiwiki's own wiki pages for that.
  * Add pagetemplate hook, which can be used by plugins that want to mess
    around with adding new stuff to the page template.
  * Remove headercontent; the search plugin now adds the search box to the
    header by registering a pagetemplate hook, and other plugins should do
    similarly.

    For example, a link from blog/foo to "bar" will now link to blog/bar
    if it exists. Previously this needed to be a link explicitly to
    "blog/bar"; such links will also continue to work.

    (This was slightly complex to do as the link still has to be constructed
    relative to the inlining page.)
