LAMP hosts a free on-demand music library over MIT cable. We have about 1,900 CDs and have served about 2,800 users since 2004, playing more than 380,000 songs (well, 25,000+ songs a bunch of times each). We'd be happy to have a prospective who wants to get involved either in getting new music (we can pay for the CDs, but it takes work to unpack them, scan them, load them), publicizing the library or whatever strikes their fancy. Some of the stuff we'd be happy to have somebody work on would include: * Making a program to supply LSC with slides to run with the "top LAMP songs." * Getting more music into it [we have money we can spend on this]. * Anything else you think appropriate. We're happy to welcome anybody. Keith Winstein is one of the main developers on LAMP. You can reach him and others at lamp@mit.edu. -- we'd be pleased to have you.
