Any member of the MIT community is eligible to be a member of SIPB. A member
[[becomes a keyholding member|join]] (keyholder) by becoming [[involved in SIPB|projects]], getting nominated, and
being elected to keyholding status. Only student keyholders can vote in elections (and only
student keyholders can become officers), though a substantial portion of our active
membership are non-students (alumni, etc).
